About Us

Westside Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department is here for our citizens.  We provide a wide range of emergency and non-emergency services.  We respond to house fires, car fires, brush fires, and fire alarms.  We also respond to rescue situations such as vehicle wrecks with entrapment, rope rescues, and machinery rescues.  As if that was not enough we occasionally must deal with hazardous materials situations.  However the calls we are dispatched to the most are emergency medical calls.  Then you have the calls that don't neatly fit into a category, yes even once in a blue moon we get a call for a cat in a tree, or a puppy with its head caught in a dryer vent
